NFL · Week 4 · Sunday injury + starts desk

Daniels OUT. Jefferson sits. Smith sits.

Confirmed roster news for the Week 4 Sunday slate vs Anthony’s desk colour, labelled.

Free NFL desk. Official Out / Questionable / full-practice stamps come from the NFL.com Week 4 injury report and team or ESPN reporting. Anthony’s Brisbane colour — “good start”, “solid”, “low-end RB2”, “lean on him” — is opinion. It is not a ranking, a snap count, or a medical clearance. No invented diagnoses or return dates.

Quarterback

Jayden Daniels (WAS, elbow — OUT). Marcus Mariota starts. Confirmed. NFL.com final report: Daniels limited all week, game status Out (elbow). ESPN: ruled out of the London game vs the Colts; Marcus Mariota makes a second consecutive start. Commanders.com: Quinn ruled him out, “paving the way” for Mariota’s second start. Daniels dislocated the left (non-throwing) elbow in Week 2; he has been in a brace. Desk colour — Mariota is a solid start: Anthony’s label only. Not an official ranking. Re-check inactive lists before the 9:30am ET kick (11:30pm Sunday Brisbane).

Caleb Williams (CHI, hamstring — OUT). Tyson Bagent is not an official starter. Williams is Out on the NFL.com report — second straight miss. Ian Rapoport (NFL Network, Friday) said Bagent took most first-team reps and is expected to start vs the Jets, but Ben Johnson has not named a starter. theScore, citing Bears.com’s Larry Mayer: Johnson on Friday — “We’ll find out on Sunday.” Case Keenum, who started the Week 3 win over Philadelphia, is still in the mix in Rapoport’s own wording. Do not lock Bagent. Double-check before 1:00pm ET Sunday. Desk colour does not upgrade a report into a lineup lock.

Baker Mayfield (TB, thumb — OUT). Still Out on the Friday report. When the injury was announced, NFL.com reported rookie Jalon Daniels (spelling verified) would start, with a minimum of about three weeks (Buccaneers.com / Bowles). No newer scratch of Daniels was found on the final report. Not re-litigated as a fresh Saturday announcement.

Running back

Travis Etienne Jr. (NO, hamstring — IR). Confirmed. ESPN (Katherine Terrell, 1 Oct): Saints placing him on injured reserve; at least the next four games. Hamstring in the Week 3 loss to the Raiders. NOLA.com: coach Kellen Moore — at least four weeks; bye is Week 8, so the earliest return window cited is Week 9 vs Cleveland (8 Nov). Desk colour — Alvin Kamara is a good start: Anthony’s label for Monday night vs Atlanta. ESPN named Kamara, Kendre Miller and rookie CJ Donaldson as the backs likely to be used. That is not a snap split and not a ranking.

Jadarian Price (SEA, chest — OUT). Not Myles Price. Seahawks.com (John Boyle, 2 Oct): rookie RB Jadarian Price, Seattle’s first-round pick, aggravated a chest injury in practice and is ruled out vs the Chargers. Macdonald: “Don’t know that yet” on how long. NFL.com: Out, did not practice. Zach Charbonnet is also Out (knee) on NFL.com; Macdonald said he is not yet back from the PUP process and would not declare a return. Emanuel Wilson is the Seahawks back — Macdonald said George Holani and Emanuel Wilson will carry the load (Velus Jones Jr. only if elevated from the practice squad). Desk colour — Wilson is a low-end RB2: Anthony’s label only. Not a confirmed lead-back stamp and not a snap projection. Separate name: Myles Price is a Vikings wide receiver in the Jefferson rotation below. He is not this Price, and he is not listed Out.

Breece Hall (NYJ, quad — OUT). Braelon Allen is the back, not a different Allen. NFL.com: Hall did not practice, Out (quadricep) at Chicago. Jets.com (2 Oct): Allen has been taking the majority of reps while Hall is sidelined. Also Out on that report: Adonai Mitchell (finger), Dylan Parham (knee), Mason Taylor (thumb), Francisco Mauigoa (quad). Desk colour — Allen is a good start: Anthony’s label. Majority of practice reps is sourced. A workload ranking is not.

Wide receiver

Justin Jefferson (MIN, ankle — OUT). Confirmed. NFL.com: did not practice, Out. ESPN (Kevin Seifert, 2 Oct): coach Kevin O’Connell said Jefferson will not play vs the Dolphins (sprained left ankle). O’Connell did not rule out a return next week at New Orleans; that is hope, not a clearance. With Jefferson out, ESPN: Jordan Addison is likely the top target. Three-receiver sets include Addison, Jauan Jennings (Vikings in 2026 — not the old 49ers tag), and either Myles Price or Tai Felton. Desk colour if you are starting Addison or Jennings off that. ESPN did not publish a target share.

DeVonta Smith (PHI, hamstring — OUT). Makai Lemon. Dontayvion Wicks is an Eagle. NFL.com: Smith Out (did not practice). Also Out: Marquise Brown (ankle), Dallas Goedert (knee), Zack Baun (concussion), Marcus Epps (groin), Fred Johnson (knee). RotoWire, citing Eagles.com’s Chris McPherson (2 Oct): Wicks will operate as the top wide receiver with Smith out; rookie first-rounder Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper are in line for more snaps. Jaylen Watson (LAR, shoulder) is Out, which is the corner note in that same report — not a matchup ranking from this desk. Desk colour — Wicks is a good start, maybe; Lemon is the Smith-out look: Anthony’s labels. “WR1” is RotoWire’s headline, not an official depth chart this desk is stamping.

Side note — Chris Bell (MIA), Caleb Douglas out. NFL.com: Caleb Douglas Out (ankle); Chris Bell full participation, no game status (available). NBC Sports: Douglas misses a second straight game, “paving the way” for Bell, and cited a Week 3 line of 4 catches for 67 yards on eight targets. That line is NBC’s, not a box score re-checked here, and not a Week 4 projection. Desk colour — Bell should get usage: Anthony’s side note only.

Tight end

Darren Waller (CAR) and A.J. Barner (SEA) — available. The “good start” is desk colour. Waller is on the Panthers’ NFL.com report: full participation, no injury listed, no game status, Sunday night vs Detroit. Barner is a Seahawks tight end (Seahawks.com roster) and is not on Seattle’s Week 4 injury report. Desk colour — both good starts vs soft tight-end pass defences, and the week is thin for TE waivers: Anthony’s opinion. This desk did not verify defensive rankings, so “soft” stays colour. What is confirmed is the absence list, not a streamer order: Goedert Out, Bucs TE Ko Kieft Out, Jets TE Mason Taylor Out, Rams TE Terrance Ferguson Out, Chargers TE Charlie Kolar Out.

Defence / IDP

Mason Graham (CLE, DT) — MCL sprain and ankle sprain. Week to week. Those are the two injuries. Browns.com (Kelsey Russo, 2 Oct): MRI at University Hospitals; medical staff will evaluate week to week. ESPN: Rapoport’s sources expect him to miss a few weeks. He left Thursday’s win on crutches in a brace. He is an interior tackle, not an edge. Next up is not an official post-MRI depth chart. Sports Illustrated, in a piece filed around the game, listed Adin Huntington as Graham’s backup, Mike Hall Jr. as the more experienced interior/pass-rush rotational option, and Sam Williams (defensive end, can kick inside). Treat those as named depth, not a confirmed snap order for Week 5 at the Jets (11 Oct). No second Browns defender was given an official multi-week stamp in that Friday medical note.

Yaya Diaby (TB) — available on the final report. NFL.com: full participation, no injury listed, no game status vs the Packers. Desk colour — deemed healthy enough to lean on; start if you are thin: Anthony’s label. “Healthy” here means no game designation, not a doctor’s quote. Rueben Bain Jr. is Out (groin, shoulder) on the same Bucs report.

Amik Robertson (WAS, CB) — available. NFL.com: full participation, no injury listed, no game status for London. Desk colour — solid start, consistent with upside: Anthony’s label only. No consistency log and no coverage grade on this page.

Malcolm Roach (DEN, DT) — not on the Week 4 injury report. Broncos.com lists him on the roster. The Broncos’ NFL.com report rules out Dondrea Tillman (hamstring) and does not list Roach. Desk colour — solid floor: Anthony’s label. Availability is the sourced part. A floor is not.

Dorian Williams (BUF, LB) — full, no game status, vs the Patriots. NFL.com Bills report: full participation, injury field blank, no game designation. Desk colour — good start vs New England; off a preseason injury and getting stronger: the start call and the preseason line are Anthony’s. The final report does not list a preseason injury or a current designation. Do not treat “getting stronger” as a medical update. Patriots Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) and Christian Barmore (shoulder) are Out — sourced, separate from Williams.

Also confirmed — same week, short list

Skill and notable IDP only. Statuses are NFL.com Week 4 final report unless noted. No rankings added.

Out: Aaron Donald (LAR, back). Nick Bosa (SF, knee/calf) and Mykel Williams (SF, knee). Rachaad White (WAS, shoulder). Adonai Mitchell (NYJ, finger). Xavier Legette (CAR, knee). Christian Gonzalez and Christian Barmore (NE), as above.

Available — full, no game status: Puka Nacua (LAR). Nico Collins (HOU). Both had been practice questions earlier in the week; the final report does not designate them. Lamar Jackson (BAL) full, no designation.

Questionable, still open: Mike Evans (SF, ribs). Terry McLaurin (WAS, hamstring). Keenan Allen (IND, rest/groin). Zay Flowers (BAL, hamstring). Ladd McConkey (LAC, foot). Trey Lance (LAC, groin).

Still unconfirmed before kick

Bears quarterback. Williams is Out. Bagent is Rapoport’s expectation, not Johnson’s announcement. Check before Sunday 1:00pm ET. Also still open: every Questionable above, plus Percy Butler (WAS, concussion) and Tyjae Spears (TEN, ankle). Charbonnet’s Week 5 window was explicitly not declared by Macdonald.

What this item is not

Not a Bagent lock. Not a snap chart for Kamara, Wilson, Allen, Wicks, Lemon, Bell, Waller or Barner. “Soft TE defence” is desk colour — defensive rankings were not re-verified. Graham’s next-up names are SI depth, not a Browns snap order after the MRI. Diaby “healthy”, Robertson “solid”, Roach “floor”, Williams “preseason / getting stronger”, Mariota “solid start” and Wicks “good start maybe” are Anthony desk colour. Paid sit/start ranks stay on the weekly. Not Bowerbird.
