NFL · Week 3 · Starts desk
Murray & Darnold back. Keenum all-but MNF. Week 3 starts board.
Saturday update after Thursday’s Dart / Winston / Daniels Short. Confirmed roster and injury moves only as fact. Anthony’s Brisbane colour is labelled Desk throughout — opinion and expectation, not an official Out / Doubtful / Questionable stamp. This weekend is NFL Week 3 (Sun 27 / Mon 28 Sep), not Week 4.
Free NFL starts / injury board. No invented diagnoses, return timelines, snap counts, or rankings. Paid sit/starts stay on the weekly. Prior Thursday board: injuries-week3.
Confirmed — quarterbacks
Kyler Murray (MIN) — cleared concussion protocol and will start Week 3 at Tampa Bay. Source: Vikings.com.
Sam Darnold (SEA) — will play Week 3 at Washington after a glute absence Week 2. Source: Seahawks.com (Fri 25 Sep).
Case Keenum (CHI) — Caleb Williams (hamstring) and Tyson Bagent (concussion) did not practice Friday; Keenum took No. 1 reps and the club is preparing him for Monday Night vs Philadelphia. Fair to call him all-but — not a formal starter lock from Ben Johnson as of Friday copy. Source: ChicagoBears.com.
Jameis Winston (NYG) — starts. Jaxson Dart is out the rest of the 2026 regular season (knee). Source: Giants.com.
Marcus Mariota (WAS) — starts Week 3 vs Seattle. Jayden Daniels (left elbow dislocation) is week-to-week, will not be placed on IR, and surgery is “not … as of now.” Official team messaging is confidence in Mariota — do not air “Commanders shopping for another QB” as confirmed. Source: Commanders.com.
Confirmed — IDP / defence
Rueben Bain Jr. (TB, groin) and Josiah Trotter (TB, shoulder) — both OUT Week 3 vs Minnesota. Source: Buccaneers.com.
Nick Bosa (SF, calf) — OUT vs Arizona; Shanahan estimated miss “around a few weeks”; IR under discussion. Romello Height (hand) is also OUT (post-surgery) — do not pitch Height for more snaps with Bosa down. Source: 49ers.com.
SF edge next-up (best-reported): Keion White takes the primary / larger edge snap share; Khalid Kareem is the projected opposite starting DE. Matt Barrows (The Athletic) listed likely DL starters vs Arizona as White, Osa Odighizuwa, Naquan Jones, and Kareem — cited by Heavy and CardsWire. SacTownSports: White “even larger role on the edge”; SI/49ers On SI: White “the only legitimate option” on edge. Desk: Ogbo Okoronkwo rotates in the Height void — not a confirmed starter lock.
Devin Lloyd (CAR, calf) — OUT Week 3 at Cleveland. Jaelan Phillips practiced fully Friday and carries no Out designation — expected available. These are not a single TNF injury cluster with Ebukam. Source: Panthers.com.
Samson Ebukam (ATL, hamstring) — was already OUT for Thursday Night vs Green Bay; injury from Week 2 vs Carolina — not injured on TNF.
Confirmed — WR / TE monitors
Puka Nacua (LAR) — Doubtful (hip / groin soreness) for Sunday Night at Denver — not formally Out as of the Friday final report. With Puka doubtful / not the focus of the offence, Desk: Davante Adams + Kyren Williams + Blake Corum should all do well as a combo — RB + WR volume package (not Corum/Kyren as Puka WR fill-ins). Source: therams.com.
49ers WR room: Demarcus Robinson OUT (ankle). Mike Evans (SF, 2026 — not Buccaneers) Questionable (hip), managed / gameday decision — Anthony knows he’s a 49er. Desk: START Deebo Samuel — last healthy established WR with Robinson out / Evans Q. Source: same 49ers.com Week 3 report.
Brock Bowers (LV) — Questionable Week 3 at New Orleans after left-knee meniscus trim; Kubiak “optimistic.” Any snap-count talk is expectation only — no official snap-count announcement.
Steelers backfield: Rico Dowdle OUT (toe) Week 3 vs Cincinnati; Jaylen Warren Questionable (shoulder). Eli Heidenreich is the Navy → Steelers 7th-rounder nicknamed “Swiss Navy knife” by the RB coach — identity confirmed; Week 3 workload is not an official projection.
Desk colour — labelled opinion
Desk — Al-Quadin Muhammad: Decent IDP spot start on the edge with Bain and Trotter out (usage bump reported in local coverage; “decent spot start” is Anthony colour).
Desk — Keenum: Distributes well to Chicago weapons if he gets the MNF nod.
Desk — Deebo / Evans: START Deebo — last healthy established SF WR with Robinson out / Evans Q; Evans maybe OK but managed.
Desk — Rams combo: With Puka doubtful / not the focus, Adams + Kyren + Corum should all do well as an RB + WR volume package (not pitching Corum/Kyren as WR fill-ins).
Desk — Bowers: Optimistic return; possible snap count — speculative until inactives or the coach says so.
Desk — Carnell Tate + Cam Ward (TEN): Same-team stack vs the Giants Week 3 — “good stack week” is fantasy opinion.
Desk — Josh Cameron (JAX WR): 2026 Day-3 / 6th-round rookie — deep sleeper colour only (depth chart still BTJ / Parker Washington / Jakobi Meyers ahead in reporting).
Desk — Eli Heidenreich: Dynasty stash / “should get play” with Dowdle out and Warren Q — unconfirmed workload; practice-squad elevations also in the mix per local IR.
Starts board punch — Desk condensed
Murray / Darnold / Winston — locked paths. Keenum MNF — all-but. Adams + Kyren + Corum — Desk combo if Puka sits. White / Kareem — SF edge next-up with Bosa+Height out. START Deebo · Muhammad · Tate/Ward — Desk. Cameron · Heidenreich — deep Desk only.
Corrections applied before publish
Week number is Week 3, not Week 4. Romello Height is OUT — do not say he gets more time with Bosa down; next-up is Keion White (primary) and Khalid Kareem (projected opposite). Lloyd / Phillips / Ebukam were not all hurt on TNF; Phillips is not out. Commanders are not shopping another QB per team messaging. Puka is Doubtful, not Out; frame Adams + Kyren + Corum as a combo volume package, not Corum/Kyren as WR fills. Mike Evans is on the 49ers in 2026 — Desk START Deebo. Dart is out the rest of the regular season. Keenum is all-but, not a lock. Bowers snap count is speculative.
