MMA · Dana White’s Contender Series
Six contracts in one night. Two losers got deals. The main-event winner did not.
Season 10 Week 7 at Meta APEX, Las Vegas — Tuesday 22 September 2026. First Contender Series card to hand UFC deals to two losers. Norbert Novenyi Jr. won the main event and was told to try again.
Dana White’s Contender Series made Contender Series history on Tuesday: six UFC contracts from five fights, including two losers — Callum Connor and Jaden Ortega — the first time losers have been signed on the same Contender Series night. Main-event winner Norbert Novenyi Jr. was not offered a deal. Source: MMA Fighting (Jed Meshew), 23 September 2026.
The six who signed
Damian Piwowarczyk · Piero Guaylupo · Callum Connor · Marcos Degli · Alvi Dasuyev · Jaden Ortega.
Not signed: Novenyi Jr. (winner) and Theo Haig (loser).

Why the night is historic
Guaylupo–Connor left both men needing hospital checks; White called it one of the great Tuesday (or any-day) fights and took both. Dasuyev–Ortega was the other dual-sign. Degli’s RNC and Piwowarczyk’s first-round TKO were clean winner contracts. Novenyi won the main event on the cards and was told the night was not his — White wanted another look later. Desk framing only; the contract list is the fact. Sources: MMA Fighting; UFC.com; BBC Sport (Connor nationality / dual sign colour).
What this item is not
No invented rankings or debut bookings for the six signees. No claim Novenyi is cut from future Contender Series looks — White asked for another look. Spelling: Marcos Degli (UFC / Sherdog). Connor: England / Manchester. Paid NFL stays on the weekly.
